What in the world was I thinking? How can I run a business when I already
have a full-time job as a Stay-at-home-Mom taking care of my family?
Well… it is just that! Punkybunks Baby Boutique was started to enable me
to stay at home and raise my two precious babies. Thanks to my wonderful
husband for being so supportive of my crazy idea and to my best friend
Pamela for all her technical assistance. I could not have done this without
them.
Punkybunks is a place to shop for babies and mom’s when you are in search
of fabulous stuff that is exciting, out of the ordinary and sometimes hard
to find. Most of our products are things that we have used in raising our
own children and many of them we have given as gifts to our family and
friends. We take great pride in bringing you high quality items and we are
happy to say that alot of them are made right here in the U.S.A.
So bear with us, we are just getting off the ground, so please don’t mind
the mess. Keep checking back with us from time to time, new and exciting
things are coming to Punkybunks! Let us know what your thoughts are
about our site, our products or anything else that we can do to make your
shopping easier.
And now, an answer to the burning question that everyone asks...
"Where did you come up with the name "Punkybunks"? Well... I will tell
you. Way back when my husband and I first started dating I was living
with a friend that wasn't home that often. So I decided to get a dog.
An American Red Nose Pitbull to be exact. I had first pick of the litter
one day after the pups were born. I picked out a female pup and named
her Inka Luna. She went everywhere with me; she was my baby.
Everyone who met her fell in love with her. And like all pets, they end up
having many nicknames, Inka's nickname was "Punkin" which then turned
into "Punky". Another nickname was "Inkiebunks" which was then shortened
to "Bunks". Then combined it was "Punkybunks". When our son Tiller was
born we started calling him "Tillybunks" and when our daughter Teegan was
born, she became "Teegiebunks". Our son has decided that we are now
"Mommybunks" and "Daddybunks".
And THAT is how we came up with our name. It was the only name that
was appropriate don't you think? Inka (Inkiebunks) is no longer with us
today. She passed away on July 15, 2009 under her lemon tree in our back
yard. We all miss her very much; especially Baz, our Chihuahua.
Thanks for taking the time to check us out! We hope you will visit us
again soon!
Have a great time shopping,
Hollie/"Mommybunks"
